The Intricacies of A Complex Soul and Sanguine Mind

'Venus Spoke' as a name for this endeavour, was inspired by the creative beauty of Venus. The simplicity of the name alludes to the words of Venus herself being a source of my creativity- if she was real, I feel like her words would have the same nostaligic, sadly romantic aura.

These musings take root in the ideals of the famed Goddess of Love. Born of the sea and irrepressible like the tides that carried her to shore, Venus became the embodiement of sensuality and the  prepossessing notions of beauty and intimacy. 

My inspirations are derived from the whimsical concept of this soft, alluring being, Venus, crafted amongst jagged rocks and harsh tides, yet still emerging powerful and exuding a lustre that eludes understanding. 

In a similar way, the most poignant words are often sourced from despair and agony, but manage to stir the most wonderful feelings. 

Whilst writing, I envision emotion, and aim to evoke it. 

I write about passion, pain, joy and grief. From experience or an avid imagination. All my words are rooted in a progressive and empowered feminist stance that aims to educate lovingly but with conviction. And through my writing, I hope to reach places deep within you and take you on journeys you have already travelled, or ones your mind has yet to embark on. 

 

My words rouse feelings. Feelings that ebb and flow, and fly out of control like the waves Venus was born on. Often, these feelings might be our greatest fear. But ultimately and always, they are our strongest weapon against the monotony that is sometimes our existence.
